Construction and the Law School

The purpose of this blog is to serve as an information source about the construction project at Berkeley Law School . As I learn information, I will share it. If you have ides or comments, you can post them here. If there are problems that you encounter or suggestions that you have concerning things that we can do to make your life a bit easier, let us know. I will pass your ideas along to the powers that be. My motto for this year is that we are all in this together.

As of today there are two construction projects that will be part of our lives this academic year. The renovation of the building currently fills the halls and has displaced some classes, many organizatins and journals. Some of the renovated classrooms should be available as of next week. Some the week after. The new distance learning classroom will not be completed until the end of the semester. The lockers are not installed, but they should be ready by mid-semester. Things are popping all over building.

The second project is the South Addition, a building planned for the grassy courtyard. Soon you will get an e-mail soon with a link that will take you to pictures and information about that project. It is serious business. Some work may begin very soon, but the project is currently scheduled to fire up at the end of September or early October. As things become more certain, I will let you know.

In the end, it will all be worth it. But we want to make the journey to that end to be as smooth as possible.
